Mr Sanjay Chaudhri MB BS MS FRCS
Mr Sanjay Chaudhri MB BS MS FRCS is a Consultant Colorectal and Robotic Surgeon with over 15 years of specialist experience. He was appointed Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester in 2009 and was an early adopter of robotic colorectal surgery within his NHS Trust from 2014, pioneering laser proctology techniques from 2016.
His specialties include robotic and laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery, complex rectal and pelvic surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, abdominal wall reconstruction, hernia repair, laser treatments for haemorrhoids, anal fistulas and pilonidal sinus, and the joint management of advanced pelvic endometriosis.
Mr Chaudhri has served as Principal Investigator in national and international colorectal surgery trials, published widely in peer-reviewed journals, and mentored surgeons across the UK and internationally. He is committed to patient-centred care, clear communication, and tailored surgical planning.
He is now joining The Galway Clinic as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, bringing robotic surgery expertise to private practice in the West of Ireland.
